Juvederm® Ultra Plus XC Richmond

Juvederm® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Dr. Ferland eases Juvederm® injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel – so everyone will notice (but no one will know)!   In addition, Juvederm injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.

How It Works

JUVEDERM ® is injected below the wrinkle to create volume in the tissue and raise the floor closer to the surface of the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that occurs naturally and abundantly in the body. It is hydrophilic in nature, attracting and holding water.

Juvederm® XC

Juvederm® XC is Juvederm® infused with lidocaine (local anesthetic) to improve comfort during treatment.  With JUVÉDERM^® XC Dr. Ferland can provide the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.

Treatments with Juvederm® Ultra Plus XC

Juvederm® Ultra Plus is highly crossed-linked making it more robust and longer lasting.
Juvederm® Ultra Plus XC can be used to replace the lost volume in the face where wrinkles, creases and folds develop over time such as:

• The laugh lines (or nasolabial folds)
• The marionette lines (or melomental folds)
• The cheeks
• The nasojugal groove
• the brows
• the forehead

Recovery and Results
Juvederm Ultra Plus can last up to a year.  Dr. Ferland will often recommend that you have your second injection between 6 and 9 months after your first injection.
