Richmond Full Anchor Scar Mastopexy
Full Anchor Scar Mastopexy (breast lift) is a procedure in which only skin is removed in order to correct the shape of the breast and placement of the nipple. This procedure is generally made when the nipple is below the level of the lower breast. The procedure is meant to elevate the breast. The disadvantages of the Full Anchor Scar Mastopexy is the long scar and the limited support to the breast tissue. With the advent of a newer and refined technique (Short Scar Mastopexy by Dr. Ferland) the older Full Anchor Scar Mastopexy has gone by the wayside. Before and after photos are included for historical purposes.
